@Kieran_Brocx ! if you do not connect USB, and only power, the driver board locks up the motors. .. it is normal...
Thanks for ur Help @Zax
GearBest answered, i think i was to impatient
@Marcin-Noniewicz What software are you using?
T2Laser has a calibrate distance feature that will resolve this issue but otherwise you would need to manually edit the Grbl parameters. I don't know about the Inkscape issue, perhaps the output size is incorrect.
Received my EleksLaser A4 yesterday.
@babai Yes, in the Machine menu click Upload Firmware (1.1e DEFAULT).
@Joakim-Weivert There are many posts on this, it’s a well documented design flaw with the laser driver. The input should be pulled low (grounded) when not being actively driven high (on).
The fix is pretty simple, put a resistor between the TTL signal (S pin) and ground (- pin). I have found a 1kohm works well but in theory any resistor around 4.7kohm or lower should work.
@ShortRound72 Did you install the driver? I don't know what software you are using but with T2Laser you just click Install CH340 Driver from the Help menu.
@jimmyedson i dont have run this machine so far...
you can use teflon tape or move your work surface closer to the laser so you can change the focus so there are more threads touching and therefore more stable
that would be connecting two ttls. It is redundant and would probably give you weird results. you dont need the blue one or the black one.
Again thank you very much @Zax. Will now buy some cables for spares
@JDMcDermott You can e-mail me, email@example.com
Well those safety boxes are surely great but unfortunately this doesn’t work for me due to very limited space : -)
I have to make some enclosure around the laser only. Not over the whole frame.
Sorry, i meant to say that I could get to do outline only in the software's "text carve" mode and never with a pic from another file. I always run as admin.
