3D Pattern Coaster
-
Coaster made from 6 layers of 3mm Cedar. Next time I'll use thinner layers to reduce it's bulkiness
(Layers haven't been glued together yet, which is why they aren't fully in line with each other yet)

wow,thats fantastic
-
that is amazing

@nottingham82 Thank you my friend
-
Very good job, beautiful!
How many Watts has got your laser? 2.5 W or more?
-
@emanet yes, just a 2.5W pwm Eleksmaker laser.
And thankyou very much
-
Great!
How much is the speed did you use? And the time?
-
Dear @yankers I tried to do the same, but I couldn't succeed.
I've got a 2.5 W laser (see the picture) and I selected "outline" pattern and I choose a very slow speed (speed = 50 and time = 5), but it was not able to cut, it makes only a wide and black sign...
Could you kindly tell me the parameters did you input? Did you use Benbox software?
-
I cut wood all the time with my 2500 mw laser. I have to use air assist though. I have an air compressor that blows air on the cut to remove ash. It takes me 6 passes at 100 mm/min. Also the focus is very sensitive so i will usually cut a few tiny squares to dial it in.
-
Dear @nottingham82 , about focus adjustment I tried several times to improve the small dot, but I'm not sure that now the focus is really the best. Is there a system to got the best focus adjustment? Is there any tool or only visually?
-
Dear @nottingham82 could you kindly post a very short video?
-
@emanet I used BenCutLaser software to cut this out, which is an ideal software to use if you plan on doing a lot of cutting. I'll check in the morning what exact power and speeds I used on it for you
-
@yankers is BenCutLaser software a free software?
-
@emanet No, but if you're planning on doing a lot of cutting of wooden materials with the diode lasers, I would recommend it. Ralph has even started adding more advanced grey scale engraving options as well now. http://benboxlaser.us/index.php/board,25.0.html

@emanet Yup I'll post some cutting videos this weekend
