EleksDraw Pen Plotter (adding the LASER module?)
I haven't had any luck trying to find the following for either the EleksDraw Pen Plotter Pro Metal (or standard acrylic model):
Where do I purchase the LASER module with PWM?
I think this one is suitable: https://www.banggood.com/EleksMaker-EL01-2500-445nm-2500mW-Blue-Laser-Module-with-PWM-for-DIY-Laser-Engraving-Machine-p-1179592.html?rmmds=search&cur_warehouse=CN
Where do I purchase the LASER module quick release holder? Several people in this forum have asked yet no one seems to know? It seems that Eleksmaker doesn't sell the holder separately. That's annoying!
Some are saying that this 3D print will work: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2356800
Just curious, is there any technical reason why an EleksLaser-A5 Pro cannot be retrofitted with a pen module for drawing/plotting?
I have connected my laser on the other end of the eleksdraw, it has same screw spacing for the module, doesn't requires quick release holder.. it works great...
Thank you Vivek.
Some are saying that the LASER accuracy isn't very good (b/c of the weight of the LASER). Do you find this to be true?
This post is deleted!
It is 100% accurate.. depends on software u use.. laser grbl has some offset glitches.. T2 laser and eleks can produce 100% accurate outputs . . !! See some outputs here
Hello my dear friend Vivek

Hello my dear friend Vivek,
Can I ask you some questions?
Now I wanna buy the laser module and I feel kind of hesitation in selecting it.
For that I need your help and your advice to get the proper one.
Here are my questions:
1- As you mentioned that you have got 2500mW one. How much time does it take to make one piece of your works? Let's say the one that was written (( I wanna Win BIG..))
2- what kind of wood are you using?
3- I wonder to know if 2500mW could cut the wood and how much thickness could do that?
Thanks in advanced
hi @Salah !
Sorry for late reply, I was not in the country!
For just the text it just take a few minutes, for picture, it took approx 4 hours, as it points out pixels in the wood and it is a 4mm MDF,
3mm mdf can be easily cut with laser, I personally do not prefer thick woods to be cut with laser as it needs multiple passes and takes a lot of time if cutting is simple blocks. If wood needs to be cut with an artistic borders, then with the laser of course, but it takes time and multiple passes. Patience is must Hope this helps ..
Thanks Mr. Vivek, It's really kind of you for your responses.
