First “big” engravings

  • Hi folks,

Just wanted to show you my first “big”engravings.

I used T2 laser for all of them.

IKEA ‘Aptilig’ chopping Board (24 x15 cm)
    Feed rate: 1500
    Power: 200

    IKEA Cork
    Feed rate: 3500
    Power: 180

If you have any suggestion to do better engravings please tell me!!!

    Hope you like them!

@alvar0.ga Fantastic work. I am curious on the cork as my results always smeared due to the ash and I don't like to seal it because then the cork won't absorb moisture - did you find this to be a problem?

    Hi Zax,

Thanks for your comment. I am happy you liked it, furthermore comming from the T2 developer😊.

To my surprise it didn’t smear too much. Of course if you rub it gently with the finger you get some dirty in it, but not a lot.

I thought this was not going to work, as my grandpa used to paint fake moustaches on us with burned bottle corks when we were children 😅.

I am happy with the results though.

  • Here you can see another example I made in cork.

    Feed rate: 3500
    Power: 180
    Res: 0.2

The task for tomorrow is to install the pulldown resistor for the laser and the limit switches!!
