Laser Always on in ElekscamV3.1with EleksMana v2.2
Paul den Toom
I have purchased the Eleksmill from Bangood and build it
I installed Elekscam v 3.1and I'm able to engrave
but the Laser is always on and don't react on the buttons "laser on"and "weak on"
So there is no control over the laser at all the commands S0 and S*** or M3 and M5 have no effect
the board is Eleksmana cnc controller V2.2 running on windows 10
@Paul-den-Toom I'm having the same problem did you happen to figure it out
Hi I had the same problem which I traced to a faulty board along with a faulty arduino nano what I did in the end after I checked it with a scope and there was no PWM signal so I bought a separate board and fitted that in its place then when the second board worked fine I tried swapping parts between the boards I found D3 on my original board had been swapped at some time so I believe that when it was first supplied it was a returned board what was wrong with the Nano board I could not find out but I know that it was faulty as the second board worked perfect but if I changed the nano boards over it did nothing.
which laser have you used? and how did you connect it to the board?
Regards Poppy Ann.

I think the mosfet on the board is short

I.m still waiting for a new board from banggood
@Paul-den-Toom If you have an Eleks Laser (3 wire) it doesn't use the MOSFET, only a spindle motor or old 2 wire laser does.

@thcfoeyogramma what software are you using?
@thcfoeyogramma This post was about an Eleksmill using EleksCAM and their firmware, but it sounds like you have a different setup.
Tell us what machine, firmware and software you are using and we can get you fixed up.
@thcfoeyogramma fyi all the women yell at us that we wasted money till we make them something pretty
