FABRICS CUTTING WITH 5,5 W LASER MACHINE
hi, i am interested to buy EleksMaker 5500 mW A3 size laser machine (https://www.banggood.com/5500mW-A3-30x40cm-Desktop-DIY-Violet-Laser-Engraver-Picture-CNC-Printer-Assembling-Kits-p-1009577.html?rmmds=search) to cut synthetic fabrics (polypropylene, polyamid, polyesther) ... on Banggood site, in tips, there is written - Can cut paper-thin / light wood / sponge paper / felt / fabric / sticker ... will it be possible to use this laser machine for cutting fabrics with thickness up to 1 - 1,5 mm? if not, any recommendations? thnx
@eedee I use 2.5W for felt that's around 1-1.5 thick, it's synthetic so actually melts the fibers and leave a really nice edge. If you go faster with 2 or 3 passes the results are better and no burnt edges. The disadvantage of 5.5W is the spot size is larger but it should work fine.
