Software for Mac

  • Hello there!

I just got my EleksDraw and assembled it. Now I am wondering if there is any Software for Mac since I can not find any :(

Nope. But you can run it on a cheap windows tablet. That seems to be the cheap solution. I bought an all in one for my garage because I wanted to be able to watch movies while I burn things

    Hi,
in fact cause we didnt flash factory firmware at version 3.7 at the past time. so yours Mana SE firmware cant switch to draw mode by gcode line .... I am Sorry about that.

If you know how to flash the hex with Mac , You can Flash this firmware below , and we will try to fix upload firmware with Mac OS.

    ManaSE_v3.7 FirmWare Download

Heres the Mac OS Mana/Mana SE Driver:

Mana/Mana SE Mac OS Driver Download

When you are using MAC OS , you can use this EleksMaker Tools to generate Gcode:

    Inkscape 0.92.1 and Plugins download

How to use the Inkscape to create picture G-code

And you can use various of Gcode Sender On the Mac OS .

Just Send E2 to switch EleksDraw Mode and use A0/A1 to switch Sevor/Laser Mode

    Best Regards,
    Z

  • Unfortunately I don't know how to flash firmware on the mac. Is there a tutorial for it?

  • ElekMaker Develop Department

    i am sorry for that.

you can try flash the EleksROM V3.7 on others windows PC . Or we are trying to figure out how to flash hex on Mac OS~

    Best Regards,

  • Is there EleksROM for 32bit windows?

  • ElekMaker Develop Department

    @pixon
yeah , it can run in 32/64 windows stand~

  • I get a error message every time trying to open EleksROM:

    It says it's not a 32bit application.

  • Can somebody help me? Otherwise this machine is useless for me :disappointed:

  • Hello? Anybody here? Where I can download the 32 bit application?

  • I think I have found out how to flash the HEX to the board with my Mac.
But when I connect the board via USB cable the serial port does not appear in the drop down?

thank you! we are a little closer :)
now I get this error when trying to flash the board:

avrdude: stk500_getsync() attempt 1 of 10: not in sync: resp=0x0d
avrdude: stk500_getsync() attempt 2 of 10: not in sync: resp=0x0a
avrdude: stk500_getsync() attempt 3 of 10: not in sync: resp=0x47
avrdude: stk500_getsync() attempt 4 of 10: not in sync: resp=0x72
avrdude: stk500_getsync() attempt 5 of 10: not in sync: resp=0x62
avrdude: stk500_getsync() attempt 6 of 10: not in sync: resp=0x6c
avrdude: stk500_getsync() attempt 7 of 10: not in sync: resp=0x20
avrdude: stk500_getsync() attempt 8 of 10: not in sync: resp=0x30
avrdude: stk500_getsync() attempt 9 of 10: not in sync: resp=0x2e
avrdude: stk500_getsync() attempt 10 of 10: not in sync: resp=0x39

I tried it with different bit rates, but unfortunately it didn't work :(

  • Developer of T2Laser Software

Can you use a virtual machine?

I have several users doing that with T2Laser. Parallels for Mac seems to work the best.

  • If it is possible to flash the firmware and use a Mac, then I want to avoid extra costs for buying a licence for Windows and Parallels :)

  • Developer of T2Laser Software

You can flash using AVRDude, it is available for a MAC and included in AvrMacPack.

  • I still get an error:

avrdude: ser_open(): can't open device "wchusbserial1420": No such file or directory ioctl("TIOCMGET"): Inappropriate ioctl for device

The serial port is available and connected.

Is the command I am using correct?

    avrdude -c arduino -P wchusbserial1420 -p ATMEGA328 -b 19200 -U flash:r:ManaSE_v3.7.hex:r

nope , the failed reason is cause our board are using arduino nano bootloader instead of arduino uno

so you need to choose arduino nano

and the correct command in windows is

    –C avrdude.conf -v -patmega328p -carduino -P + com + -b57600 -D -Uflash:w:\
