RE: EleksCAM SW Not Starting
Appears to me that EleksCAM does not support WIN XP OS.
I moved EleksCAM to another machine with WIN 7 and it works with the WIN 7 OS.
I had to change the Config settings to X-Rev.
The laser arm is the Y axis and the large cross beam is the X axis.
Doesn't appear the Weak Laser setting works, yet!
There is no EleksLaser A4 in the Machine Select menu.
Motor and laser cables need some form of support instead of dragging across the support arms.
Green "Safety Goggles" should be replaced with Orange color, $6 off Amazon. I believe this oversight by EleksMaker/Banggood is a significant eye safety issue and should be corrected before operators eyes are damaged.
My kit did not have the plastic drive belt clamps for the X axis so I had to "deal" with Banggood customer support and have them shipped from China. If no one else has this problem then mine was a one off, otherwise EleksMaker didn't have the parts when the kit was assembled and just pushed on.
The ends of the 20 x 20 mm rails need a decorative trim cap, 20 for $3 shipped from China. Note to ElkesMaker...little things do make a difference!
The Wiki assembly pictures should include a picture of the completed EleksLaser A4, what were they thinking?
Updated profile with photo of my assembled A4.
Placed unit on a 18x18 inch ceramic floor tile from Home Depot $1.80.
EleksCAM SW Not Starting
I am new to EleksMaker and am trying to use EleksCAM 3.1 on a Dell Insprion 6000 running WIN XP with SP2, dotnet 4 and EleksCAM 3.1.
I am not successful in getting EleksCAM to run and get the following msg:
EleksCAM has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
I have reloaded EleksCAM and dotNet via the EleksLaser Wiki but that does not cure the issue.
Anyone know of a solution?
