I want to mark any preview area as a visual target for series of variously shaped materials. Why can't i simply have the preview not lifting my servo up. To make up for this, i added a switch to my servo cables, so i can cut the juice on it so preview doesn't lift the servo, it's working like a charm. Put laser on, cut juice, press preview and you got your drawing area frame traced. Bam. I just wish the software would let me do that.

Elekscam - How to trace the frame of a project? (Preview with laser/pen ON )
I can't seem to be able to use preview as intended, preview shows me my area but always lifts my pen up, even when i turned it on before clicking preview. Anybody knows how to do that?
RE: Axis move flawlessly but no servo action
I don't think my servo is backward, considering elekscam works just right with my unit.Guess there's no reason why your software would need my servo reversed from elekscam, yeah?
I did flash the 0.9i firmware, connecting to com port says GRBL ready, but then clicking anything in setting > configure eleks mana does no action, no message is shown after grbl ready.
So basically, i get:
Connected COM3 115200
and after that nothing. Ideas? If i get it to work, you're probably gonna get another license for it
Axis move flawlessly but no servo action
Hey! I can't seem to configure it to e2 - a1 mode, when i press the option in the "configure Eleksmana" menu basically nothing happens appart from the max value of the laser in the right control menu, but turning laser on or off has no effect. What am I doing wrong?
RE: Broken gear Servo, pretty much DOA
Thanks for your anwsers guys, i got a servo to work, my only surprise is that the one i bought was reversed (mirrored) compared to the one provided, i had to reverse the lower screws to get action. To set the arm up, i got it to lock before hitting the bottom skirt of the arm attachment, it goes just a bit too vertical when it lifts so the screw goes a bit behind it, but it bounces it down just fine when coming down. If i angle it, when it's up, to retain the screw on the correct side, it hits the bottom skirt when it goes down and nothing good can come from the servo arm hitting metal when its course is longer. I wonder what i could do to solve this, physically or software wise. Is there any manual setting for the servo amplitude or should i look for a servo arm tweak, maybe cutting some metal off the skirt?
Broken gear Servo, pretty much DOA
Managed to receive my unit today, mounted it without much troubles but the servo didnt work, even with a1 code.
Opened it and it was DOA, smallest gear plastic axis torn out. What the hell do i do now? can i replace it with another servo? I'm in germany, that EMAX brand doesnt sell here, as far as i see.
