Grbl Settings for Eleksmaker A3 Pro
So I updated my Eleksmaker A3 Pro laser with Grbl v1.1 to use with LaserWeb software. Very nice, cross platform solution, have a look at: https://github.com/LaserWeb/LaserWeb4. I use it to lasercut from Mac OSX, which I could not do with EleksCAM software.
I just wanted to post here the GRBL setting I used, in case someone (like me) is interested. These values were determined experimentally, and could be far from perfect:
$32 = 1 -- Need to be set to enable Laser mode.
$100 = 81
$101 = 81
$110 = 1000
$111 = 1000
$120 = 100
$121 = 100
The acceleration and speed seems very close to the original EleksCAM settings.
Hope this helps someone!
@LegandosIO do you need to recompile the firmware?
@LegandosIO Those are very low values, you should be able to use much more aggressive acceleration values and max feed rates of at least 4000 are possible.
@mightypanda No, you can change Grbl parameters without compiling. Use my Grbl 1.1e DEFAULT as it's already got the correct values for these machines.
@Zax when i load Grbl 1.1 elekscam would not work and switching between servo and laser wouldnt work is there any solution for that
@alkassab This thread is in the EleksMill section and discussion about Eleksmaker A3 Pro laser so I'm not really sure what machine you have. Elekscam is obsolete software and only works with the old Grbl 0.9, but if you have a servo then Grbl 0.9 would be correct as it can easily switch from servo to laser.
