4x Stepper Motor controlling
I want to make a table lift with 4 pieces stepper motor,at the same time controlling, up or down.
how must i connect the wire so all the stepper motor will turn left or right at the same time.
And must i use a Driver Board? Or can i use a simple switch?
@polyoot Depending on the steppers, you can drive all 4 from a single stepper driver.
Just make sure it has a heat sink and fan, set the current limit correctly.
Use the Z axis step and direction pins to control it.
i cannot use a switch? The lift a wanna make is only up or down so.. how fast is not a issue.
@polyoot I'm not sure what you mean? Do you not want to use the lift table as a Z-axis?
As an example, in T2Laser you can enable Z-axis focus and use the jog keys to move the table up and down to set focus - this is exactly what I do with my CO2 laser.
something like this and no sissor but 4 steppenmotor on the corners.
I understand the concept of a Z-axis table, just not why you can't do as I suggested and use a stepper driver and run it from the Z outputs or better yet just replace your 2-axis Mana SE with the 3-axis Mana CNC board or similar. Then you would be able to raise and lower using the Z jog controls or even from the G-code.
T2Laser supports this already, so you can cut thicker materials by moving the Z-axis for each pass. Say in 0.25mm steps until you cut all the way through the material.
