Grayscale settings

Hi,
I'm a new user with the software and not sure if doing right.When I want to engrave pictures in gray scale mode I just change in the root display to grey scale format.
The laser power pwm is then done automatically or do I need to set this somewhere else?I'm using an Eleksmaker A3 pro with 2500mW laser module.

@27ofBorg If you are using my firmware (1.1e DEFAULT) then that's all you need to do, everything else is automatic.
