Eleks rotate module
I have elekdraw machine being used with eleksmana control.
Is eleksrotate module compatible with these parts? if yes what is the set-up required to be done.
Help will be highly appreciated.
@franzie8912 I just noticed you are using an EleksDraw, that is not compatible with the rotary axis.
There's also alternatives like this one https://www.newforestlasers.co.uk/.
T2Laser using my Grbl 1.1e DEFAULT firmware supports rotary modules, they are just plug and play.
@Zax I have locked the Y Axis slider and connected the rotate module to y axis port.
the x axis still slides as normal. My only issue is to have the calibration setup done.
If i try to make a circle the machine draws a elipse. The issue is only with calibration. Is there any way to calibrate the motors?
@franzie8912 You said this is EleksDraw? That is a CoreXY machine so the axis are not separate.
Is this really EleksDraw or one of their Cartesian machines which would work no problem with T2Laser rotary mode.
I need to work on cylindrical objects, how do I use the rotary and which machine is needed to do this job?
@franzie8912 If you have an EleksDraw (CoreXY system) you cannot do rotary, it is not compatible. As I said you need a Cartesian system for rotary support. EleksLaser machines and most other machines are Cartesian systems.
@Zax understood your point. if i want to do rotary, how can i do it?
@franzie8912 I'm sure @Zax answers your question...buy an elekslaser (without a laser, if you use pens, but with a pen mount, or a diy one) or another Cartesian model, an eleksrotate, then use t2laser that has a specific calibration setup
