Coasters

I make slate coasters in my free time for profit and for gifts. I use T2 2500mw laser with an L7 board. Speed 1500 mm/min full power.

nice

Some avengers coasters. Also I guess I should mention I made those boxes by cutting plywood with my eleksmaker laser engraver as well. I just used some wood glue to assemble them. The dxf files are available on http://benboxlaser.us/index.php/topic,1254.0.html

Can I do it by Eleksmaker A3 pro 2500mW ?
-
@srtglr Yes, that should work great!
-
Yup did it on my old 2500mw. It's not as strong or versatile as the new ones you guys use.

@nottingham82 Great with forums that you have to login to read from.
Nice coasters btw.

@Martian thats because that is the raddest forum and you should be a member anyway! That is my first home. This is my vacation home. It is free and there are downloads... not many but I share what I make and so do a few others. Doesnt cost a dime and has tons of good lasering info. Z reached out to Zax and I on there which is how we found our way over here.

That looks excellent.I have been trying different designs on some old slate roof tiles using the settings you used on the coasters and have been pleased with the results. What settings did you use for this latest example ?

my old settings are for my old 2 wire laser. I now have the 2.5 3 wire laser. The settings I am using for greyscale is 2000 mm/min My power is set at 0-180 and I adjusted the contrast to get a nice dark black and nice light whites. (no real science to adjusting the contrast)

Hi I was wondering if you coated your boxes in any type of lacquer
-
no I just spray painted them.
