Was the COM PORT failure ever solved?
Just downloaded the TY2 trial. Loaded the driver which defaults to com4. I choose it and get a failure. No connection is made.
@56Loaches Did you install the device driver before connecting your machine to the USB?
It's possible the driver being used by Windows isn't the correct one, check device manager.
What error are you getting?
Thanks for responding Zax.
I have loaded and unloaded the driver multiple times...even finding another of the same ID. It just will not work with com4 and I can not assign it to another.
No errors in device Manager.
@56Loaches The COM port is usually assigned by USB port, if you connect to a different port does it change?
If you select the COM port and click connect, what is the error?
You should see a Connected COM4 @ 115200 and then Grbl Ready if the laser is actually connected.
changing USB ports does not change anything!
How do I send a screen capture?
All is well until the 3rd line: "Alarm!"
IS "Grbl 1.1F" Correct?
I just tried loading T2 on my laptop and got the same "Failure" prompt. It only has ONE USB port.
I'm done. I've moved on. Too bad.
@56Loaches If you want support for T2Laser then contact me via email. You didn't say you were getting an alarm from the machine you said it was a driver error, totally different issues.
