I use Vcarve to make my draw. When I send g-code produce to my EleksMIll with Z2-Laser or Candle the output is about 4 time smaller then the original dimensions! How can I resolve this problem ?
-
@bgagne How are you transfering the file? If this is G-code then the sizes are wrong from VCarve.
-
The only setting that a have in Vcarve is mm or inch I choose mm a save the pathway in gcode open it in candle or T2-laser and have the same result ?
-
@bgagne G-code contains the measurements so if you load it to T2Laser and the distances are wrong it is because of the G-code output from Vcarve.
The only other explanation is your machine is not calibrated, in T2Laser if you run the 50mm Square in the Help / Samples menu does it measure correctly?
-
It's make a 1 cm square !

I have found how calibrate my CNC. Thank for the help ! When are you going to write a book call "CNC for dummies" you are going to make a lot of money !
-
@bgagne I don't know if you did it manually or used the calibrate distance menu in T2Laser but either way I am glad you got it fixed. I will have to get started on that book
-
@Zax I have made it manually. I don’t know that we can do it with T2-Laser ! Can you tell me more about that because I still have some troubles with Z axe.

@bgagne There's a menu for calibration, it just calculates and changes the Grbl parameters like you did manually. If you are loading G-code and not using T2Laser to generate it then any issues would be from Vcarve, but T2Laser can do 2.5D and 3D machining so for most things you don't need other software.
