I burned an image on wood and leather and both times the image turned fuzzy (striped) about half way through. Since it wasn't in the beginning, I know that the laser was focused. I cleaned the laser with a soft cloth and it did it again. Is there something else that would change or mess up mid-stream? I am using a 10mw laser. Thanks.

RE: Blurry with laser focused
So my husband reminded me that it started when we put a new laser on the frame (he didn't want to assemble another one so we ordered the same one and kept the frame)
That would mean that i received a bad laser, correct? Or that I should clean it.
The three-pin wire that goes from to the laser seems to have a loose connection and is not activating and deactivating the laser. The x- and y- axis movement works just fine, but the laser itself isn't turning on and off like it should. If I hold the wires tight, it seems to work. Is there somewhere that these wires can be found?
The laser started acting up by "striping" everything because the laser wouldn't turn off at the correct times. Now, it isn't turning on.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!
